Mochi or môa-chî, 麻糬, in Taiwanese

This mochi was hand-made by this elderly gentleman who must have been in his 70s. He has a cart near the Technology Building MRT station in the Daan District in Taipei. He was making mochi right there and seasoned it with peanut crumbs. It was chewy in a good way and fresh like it just came out of a rice cooker. The texture is one that is glutinous and favored by many Asians. You know what I am talking about? Yum. I am instantly transported back to that nice sensation.
